Two races starting at the same point hours apart. I guess if you've got a free day and you're feeling charitable we'll see you at the first race, and if you've got to work and like coffee it'll be the second. I'll see you at one of them, not sure which yet

Velodrome Swap 2010
It's a ways away but flyers are out for the
Twin Cities Bike Swap on Feb 14 2010

This is the premier swap meet in the Twin Cities and since it's located at the velodrome you have a way better chance of coming up on some good deals on track stuff. Last year there was a guy with a grip of NOS Campy Record Track cranks that he was parting with for $225 and I'm still kicking myself for not scoring that Terry Osell track frame that went for $100 a few years back.
it's early notice, but I hope to see you all there.

Campy Record Track Catalog
stopped by One on One yesterday and took some shots of an old Campagnolo catalog they had out. In my drunkeness though I forgot to locate the year of publication. Here you go anyway. If you click on the image and go to my flickr the photo's are large enough to read the text.

from Trash Bags Twitter: November 11th"READ" bag & owner got hit by a car, and the medics cut it off. :( broke his clavical, but is ok. hope to save his bag.
The owner of that bag is my little homie Connor who is getting his PHD at Michigan State, literature (or something)
you may know him from his crazy long skid at the end of this video
Get well soon guy, and we'll see you for the holidays

Delta Gaugin Rack Problems
Last night I hung my Delta Gaugin rack in the new house and coincidentally discovered some problems with my Marinoni that were caused by sitting on said rack. I figured that if any of you out there are using this or a similar rack to hold your beloved bikes you might want this information.

the rack in question. The blue tape was my late night solution to being able to hang my bikes back on it and still fall asleep peacefully. I'll probably end up wrapping it in bar tape

the damage. right where the front of the bike sits on the hook. Although I have not noticed any issues with my Cappy which also shares this rack, or my BMC or El Mariachi which share a somewhat similar rack made by Delta. *the Marinoni even though Canadian has what you might call classic Italian paint, if you know what I mean*

not a huge deal on a bike I commute on, but I figured it was worth mentioning in case any of you out there have show pieces that are sitting on similar racking

O.G. badass Joel Williams Campy fork end bottle opener. It was/is gold plated, but it's wearing off. Joel is so old school that he built himself a frame under the tuteledge (sp?) of Cecil Behringer at the old Shakopee Velodrome. If you don't know who Cecil Behringer is here's the link for the info.

the bottle opener was manufactured by "HH" and according to Joel they got in trouble by Campy for making them. If any of you out there have any information on "HH" or these bottle openers please leave a comment

new Pelican case for my camera, highly recommended for those who drink and/or crash

He was cleaning a fixed gear drivetrain and it bit him. Hard.

pretty much the best fixed gear BMX bike that you're going to find anywhere
