Bauer Mystery

came across this image of a Bauer track bike on Cyclop

so here's the question: is this from the old MPLS Bauer Cycle Supply, Bauer from New Zealand, or a Steve Bauer?

Anybody got any info on what this is? I'd be super stoked to learn that Bauer Cycle Supply did track bikes.

I'm pretty sure this is a NZ Bauer, as my father has a Bauer MTB, and the logo was the exact same.

Bauer frames were built by Cyclemakers Group in Pleasant Point, Timaru (South Island New Zealand).
The Cyclemakers Group was a big bike manufacturer for sometime in New Zealand. Cyclemakers factory made Worldrider bikes and started to make Bauer Bikes as their premuim brand.
They also manufactured cheaper Vincolo branded bikes (Columbus Aelle)in the late 1980's.

But after a declining market and a big factory fire they went out of business in the early 1990's.
