La Retardo

I need more adventure like this in my life. Hopefully SoCal will provide more opportunities...

Yes. We all could use less making-and-watching-videos-of-people-doing-stuff and more doing-stuff.

However, since I currently have a pot roast in the oven I decided I have 7 minutes to waste on this horseplay, and another 7 to make fun of it. I muted it and watched it with my own [presumably better] music, so maybe I'm missing some key element here, but aside from the scenery the video is just plain boring. I'm so sick of these uber-produced "films" (ha!) of people riding bikes and doing absolutely nothing extraordinary. If I'm going to watch this kind of fluff I better see somebody bunny-hop a goddamn unicorn or something. And why could the majority of these "epic riders" not ride across the wooden bridge?

Decidedly un-epic.

I'm with "Anonymous" on this one. it's fun riding in pretty places with friends. It's just not that fun watching dudes ride pretty places with their friends in slow motion.

Mark - you had plenty of opportunity for adventure in all of the places you have lived. I hope you make things happen in LA. Come back for Vilas and make a movie about your life.

Come out to Vilas this year and make a video of us riding through the woods in slow motion (with backpacks full of beer!)

There's no gravel down here in Southeastern Wisco. And new terrain is never a bad thing - especially when it's in your backyard. Seeking out new things is all. And what might not seem epic to those not involved probably meant alot to those dudes who participated. I know that because no level of talk can express how I felt in such places as Vilas. Onward and upward for adventure. There's a big world outside the Midwest. Sounds like you have a pot roast in your shorts "Anonymous". As per usual.
