Sibely Low Road Night Ride Photos

IMG_324

Getting out on a second ride after coming home from work (my commute is about an hour each way) is a huge pain in the ass.  The whole reason I setup yesterday's night ride was to force myself to do it.

Rolling up on the spot at 7:30 I was secretly hoping that no one else would show so that I could go home and chill out.

About 9 people came out, a couple of whom I had never had the pleasure of riding with before and some of whom who had never been on the route before.

After making it down to the drop in, we stopped on the cattle guard bridge where we noticed that the carp were swimming up the stream.  As you can see from the photos the light was gorgeous and seeing these big fish flop and jump up the rapids was a great start to the night.

The ride itself was awesome. The sun was fading, the forest metal was going, the youngsters were keeping a quick pace and the ride got a bit sporty.  Chasing dudes down the Sibley side Jedi style (no lights) with a light sprinkle.

The point I'm getting at is that it's amazing how good life can be when you put in a little extra effort.

Super-fun. The music was a nice touch, as were the carp.
