Capricorn 29'er

IMG_3563

On Sunday Ben from Angry Catfish came down to Levis for a day trip.  He had in tow this gorgeous Capricorn fillet / lugged Capricorn 29'er moutain bike.

To our knowledge this is one of only two mtb's that Brad has built as Capricorn, with the other being Sam's 29'er trekking bike that I posted about way back in 2009.

Before we even get to the pictures, pay close attention to the mixed construction, the beauty of the fillets, and the sexiest "unicrown" fork I've ever laid eyes on.

This is easily one of the nicest mountainbikes I have ever laid eyes on. Brad isn't the first framebuild who'd come to mind when thinking of 29'ers, since he's primarily known for rando and touring builds, but hot damn did he nail it with this one.  The fabrication is just beautiful and the whole bike is just a great mix of new technologies and old school artisanship.

Thanks for the feature Jeff. I love everything about the bike, but especially the handling. Brad executed what I wanted flawlessly and added his own artistic touches that really sent the aesthetics over the top.
